I found myself keeping an eye out for the sequel to Esquelle: the Tesla protocol.
It has finally arrived, delivering with it a second helping of what led me to give it five stars the first time around.
Anyone who read the first installment can dispense with the prologue; it lays out in detail the events that led to “The Primary Key”. But for anyone who hasn’t read the first, this prologue is vital: the Esquelle story is rich in plot and turnarounds, and the readers of the second book can expect more of the same.
I confess I can’t say what I enjoyed most about the book without getting into spoilers. But I will say this: I wasn’t expecting the ending. I thank the author for the deception, it was very well played.
This is an excellent read for those who have a soft spot for the digital world, and a fine one for everyone else!
